TMD / TMJ
TMJ is the anatomical abbreviation for the temporomandibular joint, which is the joint connecting your lower jawbone to the base of your skull. Because this joint is one of the most frequently used joints in the body, when it gets inflamed, it can be very painful and impact many aspects of normal activities.
More than 15 percent of American adults suffer from chronic facial pain, such as jaw pain, headaches or earaches all of which may be related to TMD.
Depending on the cause of your specific pain and symptoms, we have a variety of treatment options to help alleviate or remove the discomfort.
